Building a Orthodox Community in Meridian ID

Treasure Valley Orthodox Mission serves Orthodox Christians in Meridian and the greater Treasure Valley under the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America (ROEA).

Guided by The Right Reverend Andrei (Hoarste) and Rev. Fr. Florin Iftode, we gather monthly at Holy Nativity Church in Meridian for Divine Liturgy in English, Romanian, and Greek.

Our mission unites local Orthodox families Romanian, Greek, Middle Eastern, and others to worship, serve, and grow together. We aim to establish a permanent parish rooted in transparency, faith, and community.

Our Story

TVOM began as a small effort to bring together Orthodox Christians from Romanian, Greek, and Middle Eastern backgrounds living in Meridian and the greater Treasure Valley.

What started as a few families gathering for prayer has grown into a united mission under the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America (ROEA) and the blessing of The Right Reverend Andrei (Hoarste).

We currently gather for Divine Liturgy once a month at Holy Nativity Church in Meridian, led by visiting clergy such as Rev. Fr. Florin Iftode. Services are held in English, Romanian, and Greek, reflecting our community’s diversity and shared faith.

Our story is one of faith, perseverance, and collaboration. We strive to build a permanent Orthodox parish grounded in transparency, service, and unity, providing a spiritual home for all who seek to live and grow in the Orthodox tradition.

Most importantly, our mission is community driven and locally focused. Every part of our work, from worship and outreach to education and fellowship, comes from the people who live and serve here in the Treasure Valley. We believe the Church grows best when it reflects the hearts and needs of its own community.

We are deeply committed to transparency and accountability in everything we do. Members and committees take part in open discussions and shared decisions, including financial stewardship. By remaining local in spirit and action, we aim to strengthen faith, support families, and serve our neighbors with honesty and care.

We believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community. Through various outreach programs, charitable initiatives, and community events, we actively seek to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Our Core Values

Learn more about our values and our story as a church by visiting the about us page.

We value the Lordship of Jesus Christ!

We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the head of our church and fully submit ourselves to His will. In every aspect of our ministry our goal is always to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

We value Bible-centered Preaching and Teaching!

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for Christians. Therefore, we submit ourselves to its teaching, commit ourselves to do what it says, and yield our lives to become what Christ desires for us to be.

We value Prayer!

We believe in the power of prayer. Therefore, the ministries and activities our church will be characterized by a reliance on personal and corporate prayer in all areas of our lives and ministry.

We value Evangelism and World Missions!

We believe in the Great Commission commanded to us by Jesus Christ and we are committed to reaching unsaved and unchurched people locally, nationally and worldwide. We will use every available Christ-honoring means to pursue, win and disciple the people in our sphere of influence.

We value the Family!

We believe God ordained the family to glorify him. We are committed to cultivate an atmosphere which promotes spiritual growth within the family by reaching families with the gospel, discipling them in Christ-like character and teaching each family member how to fulfill their God-given role.
