King on Horse

This past Sunday, as we gathered together in worship, we were reminded of a powerful and timeless moment in the life of Christ—the entrance of our Lord, Jesus Christ, into Jerusalem.

Palm Sunday is not just a celebration. It is a moment of contrast, of emotion, and of deep spiritual truth. It is the beginning of a journey that leads to the Cross, and ultimately, to the Resurrection.

For those who could not be with us, and for those who wish to reflect more deeply, here is the heart of what we discussed.

👑 The King Has Come — But Not As Expected

King on Horse

5

The people of Jerusalem welcomed Christ as a king. They laid down palm branches and cried out “Hosanna,” expecting a ruler who would bring power, victory, and political change.

But Christ came differently.

He did not ride a war horse.
He came on a donkey.
Not in force—but in humility.

This moment challenges us even today:

  • Do we recognize Christ as King when He does not meet our expectations?
  • Do we follow Him only when life is easy—or also when it becomes difficult?

⚖️ The Crowd That Praised… Then Turned

One of the most powerful messages from the sermon was this:

The same crowd that welcomed Him would soon reject Him.

Within days, cries of “Hosanna” would become cries for crucifixion.

This is not just history—it is a mirror.

  • How often do we praise God when things go well…
  • And question Him when life becomes hard?

Faith is not meant to be conditional.
True faith remains steady—even when we do not understand.

🌍 A Message For Today’s World

We are living in a time of uncertainty:

  • Global conflict and tension
  • Rapid technological change, including AI shaping how our children grow up
  • Families pulled in many directions
  • Constant noise, distraction, and pressure

In this world, it is easy to lose focus.

It is easy to lose peace.

And most importantly—it is easy to lose the King.

Not lose Him in reality…
But lose Him in our priorities.

🧭 Do Not Lose the King

This was the central message:

In all the chaos of life do not lose Christ.

Not in your schedule.
Not in your decisions.
Not in your home.

Because when Christ is at the center:

  • There is direction
  • There is peace
  • There is purpose

Without Him, even success can feel empty.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A Call To Families

This message was especially important for families and children.

Our kids are growing up in a world:

  • Filled with screens
  • Influenced by algorithms
  • Moving faster than ever before

If we do not intentionally guide them, something else will.

We are called to:

  • Teach them faith, not just success
  • Show them prayer, not just performance
  • Give them a foundation that will outlast trends

Because the goal is not just to raise successful children—
but to raise grounded, faithful, and strong individuals.

✝️ The Road Ahead: From Palm Sunday To Easter

Palm Sunday is only the beginning.

The road continues:

  • Through sacrifice
  • Through suffering
  • Through the Cross

But it does not end there.

It leads to the greatest victory—
the Resurrection.

And this is the hope we carry:

No matter how dark things seem,
light is coming.

🙏 Final Reflection

As we move into this holy season, take a moment to reflect:

  • Where is Christ in my daily life?
  • Am I following Him only when it is easy?
  • What does it mean for me—not to lose the King?

Let us walk this journey together—with intention, with faith, and with love.
